The Conditional Moment Closure (CMC) for non-premixed combustion modelling has been independently developed in the early 90's by Klimenko and Bilger [1–3] and is one of the advanced models for turbulent reacting flows. The main concept behind CMC is to find how the reactive scalars (e.g. temperature, species mass fractions) depend on the mixture fraction. At Cambridge, we have applied CMC to non-premixed combustion and autoignition and also to atmospheric reacting flow problems. We have developed a multi-dimensional CMC code that can be interfaced to research or commercial CFD solvers. Recently, we have initiated a program where CMC is interfaced with LES
